High traffic retail service brand and design

Challenge: Ford wanted a strategy for how a high-traffic retail experience might be systematized. They recognise that automotive retail is changing and becoming more immediate and digitized.

Insight: The project began as a 3d design request but we quickly determined that the project needed more than a brand and 3d design. It needed an understanding of how retail environments are changing  in line with consumer behaviours, logistics, sales and stocking strategies.

Through observation, stakeholder interviews, trends analysis and behavioral economics, we established the human interaction, physical design, financial process and technical backend that would create an effective retail experience for high footfall zones.

Solution: Smart Labs - leaning into Millennials' desire for authenticity and informality. From physical and digital assets and interfaces to staff uniforms and scripts we created modular kits that can be rolled out in high-traffic retail environments and deliver a faster more effective shopping experience. 

Smart Labs are being rolled out in the UK and Canada.
